SAUNA

A sauna is a dry heat bath taken in a well-insulated room lined with untreated, kiln-dried soft wood and heated with igneous rocks. Optimal sauna temperatures range from 160° to 190° Fahrenheit. Relative humidity levels, which are controlled by the bather sprinkling water on the hot rocks, range between 10% and 30% depending upon preference.

Many hotels and fitness facilities provide saunas for their customers' enjoyment. Now, however, health conscious home-owners are installing saunas in their bathrooms, bedrooms, exercise rooms, basements, garages, or pool houses. With both standard and custom packages available, Amerec makes it possible to incorporate a beautiful sauna into any new construction or remodeling project. Wood Selection

Amerec saunas are built with solid tongue-and-groove construction, and are made from clear, grade A Western Red Cedar that has been kiln-dried to prevent warping and shrinking. Western Red Cedar is a preferred sauna material for many reasons. It stays cool to the touch, cleans easily with soap and water, doesn't splinter and resists stains and decay.

Modular Rooms

Amerec free-standing saunas are designed for installation in existing construction. Wall and ceiling sections are pre-assembled and shipped in easy-to-handle panels for quick assembly in residential or commercial settings.
Modular sauna panels feature Western Red Cedar or Spruce tongue-and-groove boards on the interior, R11 fiberglass insulation in the center, and a wood veneer exterior.
Amerec offers 11 standard modular room sizes from 4' x 4' up to 8' x 12'. We can also manufacture rectangular-shaped custom rooms to fit specific needs. Options for the modular sauna rooms include glass panels, grilles for the window and door glass, and Cedar or Spruce tongue-and-groove exterior.

Pre Cut Rooms

Amerec's popular pre-cut sauna packages contain all the material and equipment you need to complete your sauna (after the room has been framed, wired and insulated). We offer 38 standard pre-cut room sizes – from 3' x 4' up to 12' x 12', all with 7' ceilings, the maximum height recommended for optimum comfort and efficiency. Detailed construction plans help you prepare the room for quick installation.

For those projects where our standard-size packages don't fit, Amerec provides custom pre-cut packages. Our friendly design staff offers room layout planning assistance and computer-generated room drawings at no extra charge. Custom designs don't mean high custom prices or long lead times. We work closely with our customers to provide a quick response to their specific needs.

STEAM

It's Easy...

To convert a conventional shower into a personal steambath. The compact generator may be conveniently installed in a nearby cabinet, closet, or other unused space up to 20 feet away from the steamroom enclosure. Plumbing and electrical connections are similar to those of a common residential water heater.

Added Advantage

Multiple Amerec generator units may be connected to provide a sufficient volume of heat for larger enclosures (up to 1350 cubic feet), or for smaller steamrooms with hard-to-heat surfaces such as glass, marble or natural stone. AK Series

The Amerec AK series steambath generator combines operating simplicity with the most advanced temperature sensing system of its kind. You may select either of two available AK controls, which can be mounted inside or outside the steamroom. You can also install dual controls – one inside the steamroom and another any place within twenty-five feet of the generator location.

Superior control and comfort

K 60

The K60 control features a digital display that alternately displays ambient room temperature and time remaining. The three-button panel includes on/off, temperature setting and time setting controls, which can be adjusted up to 60 minutes. The K60 retains memory of the previous temperature and time settings.

K 30

The display window of the K30 lights up when the generator is on. It has a built-in 30-minute timer and an adjustable temperature range from 100° to 125°F. A simple on/off switch operates the generator.

The AK generator features innovative "soft steam" element switching to maintain a consistent and comfortable steambath environment. Unlike conventional thermostatically controlled generators, the AK utilizes full power to quickly heat up the steamroom to its preset temperature. Then, the AK cuts power to half its elements, resulting in a more continuous flow of soft, billowing steam. Comparative testing provides proof of the superior performance resulting from "soft steam" element switching, a feature exclusive to the Amerec AK generator.

Temperature Sensor, Cool Touch Steam Outlet, A manual drain valve is standard, and an optional automatic flush system is available. The AK controls, "cool touch" steamheads and escutcheons are available in polished chrome (standard), polished brass, polished gold or white.
